- Jackson County’s next battery manufacturing facility commenced operation in early 2025. Toyota has invested nearly $14 billion in this production facility which aims to create 5,100 new jobs.

- Fast Facts:
- Boviet Solar’s $294 million facility is now operational. The facility produces American-made solar modules and is one of the largest clean energy manufacturing investments in the country.
- Phase 1 has created roughly 460 jobs in North Carolina, and Boviet has been recognized as a Tier 1 module manufacturer by Bloomberg New Energy Finance since 2017.
- Phase 2 will commence in 2026 and is expected to add an additional 908 jobs and 1,965 indirect positions, bringing more than 3,200 jobs to the region.
