- Swiftsure is a battery storage facility capable of storing and dispatching up to 650 MW of power to New York homes and businesses and will create 100 good-paying local jobs.
- These batteries charge from the grid when power demand is low and provide much-needed dispatchable electricity when demand is high, helping balance and stabilize the grid, especially during extreme weather events.
- Once completed, Swiftsure will be capable of storing enough power for 500,000 homes, more than all the homes on Staten Island.
